SL viewer Preferences → Privacy → Logs & Transcripts: • For nearby chat, enable 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁 • For IM and group, check 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘀 4. Click App ⚙️𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 → choose your account's chat log folder to unlock. You can find the folder location in SL viewer → Preferences → Network & Files → Directories → Conversation logs and transcripts ⚠️Click Register, and select your new folder again after an account name change For mainstore purchases, right-click the item > menu > [Redelivery]. For marketplace purchases, go to [My Marketplace] > [My Account] > [Order History] > [Redeliver Item]. Please drop a notecard to the owner if you need customer support to prevent potential IM caps.

Clicking Register or checking for updates sends only your Second Life username, avatar UUID, timestamp, and product name via HTTPS for license verification and updates, without capturing passwords, hardware IDs, or modifying viewer files. You can request data correction or deletion anytime via email or an in-world notecard. While the software can read local viewer chat logs if selected, it never saves or uploads them.

It does not grant rights to Second Life, any SL viewer, or content owned by other people. GRANT OF USE ------------ Subject to this agreement and any applicable account registration requirements, the author grants you a non-exclusive license to: - run this portable software for personal or commercial purposes; - make copies for your own backup or personal use; These permissions do not grant access to another person's account, private information, or services for which you lack authorization. The software does not grant permission to disclose private conversations. REGISTRATION, NETWORK ACCESS AND UPDATES --------------------------------------- The software may require registration for the selected Second Life account before chat display is enabled. License verification uses an online service and may retain a local license cache. Availability of that service or of cached access is not guaranteed indefinitely. When you click Check for updates, the software checks online update information. If a newer version is available, it asks whether to download it. Declining leaves your current program unchanged. Accepting downloads and verifies the update, then replaces the local program and restarts it. Keep backups of anything important before updating. Network, file-permission or other errors may prevent an update from completing. This agreement does not promise future updates, ongoing support, or uninterrupted compatibility with Windows or an SL viewer. Privacy and data-handling information is provided separately in Software-security-and-privacy.txt. WINDOWS SECURITY NOTICE ----------------------- This portable app is unsigned. Windows SmartScreen may identify it as an unrecognized app or show an unknown publisher. A reputation warning is not, by itself, proof that a file is malicious or safe. Download only from the official release channel and verify the source before running it. Using this software does not require you to disable Windows security protection.
